Being a part of the Our Little Miss family, particularly within the Tri-Point Regional community led by Denita Boss, has shown me the incredible joy of shared experiences and the strength of a supportive community. Pageantry extends beyond outward appearances, serving as a platform for showcasing poise, purpose, and professionalism. A fundamental, though sometimes neglected, element of participation in pageants is proper etiquette. Whether one is a newcomer or an experienced titleholder, appropriate conduct both in public and during competitions demonstrates personal character and respect for the event. Treating fellow contestants, organizers, and judges with courtesy is paramount. It is important to refrain from gossip or negativity, as pageants should foster a supportive environment. In terms of what I've gained, winning my first pageant brought a sense of personal achievement and validation for all the hard work and preparation I put in. I also gained valuable experience in public speaking, poise, and presenting myself confidently. I'm confident this experience, along with the title itself, will open doors to new opportunities within the pageant community and beyond. I look forward to the  chances to participate in local events, engage with sponsors, and network with other talented individuals. Participating in the pageant was not just about the glitz and glamour for me. It was a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Like many women, I believed that age and size could limit my opportunity… but stepping on to that stage, I've realized it was about embracing and celebrating who I am, and inspiring others todo the same.
